Pictures from the 2006 Media Retreat

With grant support from the APA, the SCPA held a weekend retreat August 25-27 with psychiatric residents from MUSC in Charleston, psychiatric residents from USC in Columbia, and journalism students. After presentations by psychiatry faculty on Depression, Schizophrenia, ADHD, and presentations by journalism faculty on how to plan a media campaign, residents and journalism students were paired in teams to design a media campaign to educate the public about mental illness. The winning campaign will be run for a quarter on local media outlets.
